Oklahoma State softball suffers first loss of season vs Georgia in Clearwater Invitational

Lyndi Rae Davis hit a three-run home run in the fifth inning and fourth-ranked Georgia rallied for a 7-4 win against sixth-ranked Oklahoma State on Friday morning in Clearwater, Florida.

The Cowgirls (5-1) jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the second inning, capped by Megan Bloodworth's two-run home run and Claire Timm's RBI triple.

The Bulldogs (7-0) struggled to mount any threat against OSU pitcher Kyra Aycock until the fifth inning.

Jaiden Fields, the younger sister of Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields, led off the fifth with a double for Georgia en route to a 3-for-3 outing.

After Marisa Miller reached via error, Dallis Goodnight reached on a fielder's choice to make it 4-1 OSU.

Lexi Kilfoyl came on in relief of Aycock, but Davis tied the game with a pinch-hit homer in the first at-bat after the pitching change.

Georgia tacked on three runs in the sixth.

The Cowgirls will face Wisconsin at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the Clearwater Invitational.
