Ohio State recruits keep running their mouths about Michigan football

The best time to delete this tweet was immediately after sending it, the second best time is now.

Give credit where credit is due: The Ohio State commit deleted his tweet. But the internet is forever.

On Tuesday night, with Jerod Smith becoming Michigan football’s 14th commitment in the 2024 class, the Wolverines overtook Ohio State as the top-rated recruiting class in the cycle. And though the Buckeyes have the higher per-recruit average, the maize and blue have the edge in total score with more players in the class overall. Now, mind you, there are other schools with as many pledges, but it’s a mixture of quantity and quality.

That didn’t stop OSU offensive line commit Deontae Armstrong from getting in a little dig.

Guess what, Deontae? The same was the case for the Buckeyes and Wolverines in terms of recruiting rankings both in recent years as well as in the Jon Cooper era. Yet, Michigan dominated the past two years and throughout the 1990s.

They say winners get to talk, it just seems Armstrong didn’t get the memo. Or maybe he did, but he did so a little too late after pressing send.

At least he’s in bad company.
