Northern Michigan football scores and updates from Week 1 of the postseason
INDIAN RIVER – It’s a big night for football in the state of Michigan.
Friday marks opening night for many playoff teams in Northern Michigan, including Inland Lakes (8-1), which hosts Alcona (8-1) in a 7 p.m. MHSAA 8-Player Division 1 clash at Shanley Field.
The Bulldogs head into the matchup winners of five straight, including a recent 36-30 victory at Gaylord St. Mary that allowed them to seal a third consecutive Ski Valley Conference championship.
