JARED QUAY: NFL quarterbacks are on the move. Mike White left the Jets for the Dolphins, Sam Darnold is going from Carolina to San Francisco, and Jameis Winston is surprisingly staying with the Saints as a backup to Derek Carr.

- True that.

JARED QUAY: Speaking of Carr, his Raiders replacement is none other than Jimmy Garoppolo, who left the 49ers and signed a three-year $67.5 million contract with Las Vegas.

- Vegas, baby!

JARED QUAY: Garoppolo joined the 49ers in 2017 and led the team to a Super Bowl appearance. But in the last few years, he's embodied the classic sitting on the dock of the Bay watching the tide roll away and wasting time. There's a lot of upside for Jimmy in Vegas, though--

- Oh, pray tell.

JARED QUAY: --with an instant ally in head coach Josh McDaniels, who was the Patriots offensive coordinator when Jimmy was Tom Brady's backup. And then there's the guys Jimmy will be throwing to, Darren Waller, Hunter Renfrow, and Davante Adams, although the relationship with Davante and Jimmy got off to a bit of an awkward start.

- How did that happen?

JARED QUAY: Where else? On social media.

- Socially awkward.

JARED QUAY: Right around the time the news broke that Jimmy G was signing with the Raiders, Davante Adams posted this on his IG stories, writing, quote, "if we haven't talked in the last three weeks, do not hit me up about this [INAUDIBLE] Thanks." Woah! As you could imagine, that left a lot of people on the interwebs wondering what the heck Davante was talking about. Is he mad that Jimmy's his new quarterback, and not Aaron Rodgers? Has someone on the team asked for his advice on the quarterback situation and ignore it?

- What does it all mean?

JARED QUAY: Enough people asked that Adams felt the need to clarify, basically saying what we all feel about people who only hit us up when they need something or they want the hot gossip. He ended the statement with, Jimmy, let's get this, with a money back and a fist bump. Thank you for clearing that up, D.
