NFL broadcast teams: Meet all the announcers for Week 18 of the 2023 regular season

The NFL is back, and with that, so are the announcing teams that will be the soundtrack of the games.

While they are not the main characters, the announcers are an integral part of any game-watching experience (except for subtitle lovers). Some excel and find a soft spot in fans’ hearts to become broadcasting legends. Others find themselves in the opposite position and can become the object of the football community’s ire.

Keeping track of who is behind the microphone for which game on what network can be difficult to keep track of. We’re here to help and break down the main broadcast players for the 2023 NFL season inside the booth.

FOX (Sunday)

Lead team: Kevin Burkhardt, Greg Olsen, Tom Rinaldi (sideline reporter), Erin Andrews (sideline reporter)

Fresh off Burkhardt and Olsen's first season as FOX’s top team and their first Super Bowl, 2023 could mark the last hurrah for the pair, with Tom Brady’s promise of joining the booth in 2024 looming. Mike Pereira is the team's rules analyst.

The other Fox broadcast teams are:

  • Joe Davis, Daryl Johnston, Pam Oliver

  • Adam Amin, Mark Schlereth, Kristina Pink

  • Kenny Albert, Jonathan Vilma, Shannon Spake

  • Kevin Kugler, Mark Sanchez, Laura Okmin

  • Chris Myers, Robert Smith, Jen Hale

Dean Blandino is the rules analyst who joins various broadcast crews throughout the year.

CBS (Sunday)

Lead team: Jim Nantz, Tony Romo, Tracy Wolfson (sideline reporter)

No broadcasting star shined brighter than Romo at the beginning of his booth career, but as he enters Year 7 alongside Nantz, the criticisms have increased with each year. In a recent conversation with The Athletic, Romo said he is ready to take it all on in 2023.

"People are not going to continually write the same article about how great you are," he told the outlet. "I mean, you wouldn’t do that. You’re not going to continually write, ‘They are the best,’ over and over again. They might still think it, but people have to find things to write. I think that’s just part of human nature."

The other NFL on CBS broadcast teams are:

  • Ian Eagle, Charles Davis, Evan Washburn

  • Kevin Harlan, Trent Green, Melanie Collins

  • Andrew Catalon, Tiki Barbaer, Matt Ryan, AJ Ross

  • Spero Dedes, Adam Archuleta

  • Tom McCarthy, James Lofton, Jay Feely

  • Chris Lewis, Jason McCourty, Ross Tucker

Beth Mowins will call play-by-play for select regular season games for the network. Gene Steratore is the rules analyst.

NBC (Sunday Night Football)

Mike Tirico, Cris Collinsworth, Melissa Stark (sideline reporter)

Tirico begins his second season as the lead play-by-play voice of “Sunday Night Football” Cris Collinsworth sliding into his color commentator role, which he’s held since 2009 upon Madden's retirement. Terry McAulay is the rules analyst.

Peacock will stream one regular-season game exclusively, as well as the first-ever streaming-only playoff game come wild-card weekend.
