Gatorade showers are so last millennium. The hot new method of celebrating a champion? Body-slamming your coach.

Iowa’s Cory Clark won the NCAA’s 133-pound weight division championship on Saturday night, and in his glee, decided to sling assistant coach Terry Brands to the mat:

Wrestling with torn ligaments and an injured shoulder, Clark defeated South Dakota State’s Seth Gross for the victory. Clark had reason to celebrate; he was a four-time All-American but had never claimed a national championship. “I thought if it wouldn’t have gotten done, it would have been a disaster,” Clark said afterward. “And each year I didn’t accomplish that, it hurt me inside. To get it done this year is incredible.”

As for the celebration? “I was kind of out of it out there,” Clark said afterward. “I grabbed him and he said ‘Throw me. I go, ‘No.’ He goes, ‘Throw me.’ I said, ‘All right.’ I grabbed him and threw him. So that’s what happened.”

We look forward to the first time someone tries this on Bill Belichick, Nick Saban, or Gregg Popovich.
