VCU 59, Lehigh 55

Virginia Commonwealth extended its winning streak to nine games with a 59-55 victory in a game marred by an injury to college basketball's leading scorer.

Lehigh's CJ McCollum, who entered the weekend averaging 25.7 points a game, appeared to have suffered a broken foot in the first half. He missed all five of his shots from the field, and scored all four of his points at the free-throw line.

Treveon Graham led VCU with 17 points. Troy Daniels and Rob Brandenberg each added 11.

Holden Greiner had 17 points to lead Lehigh. Gabr Knutson was the only other player in double figures with 10.

The Hawks led 30-29 at halftime despite McCollum being held without a field goal. VCU, which led the country in steals and turnover margin, had 16 steals and forced 21 turnovers while committing only 12 turnovers.
