Departing Chelsea captain John Terry will start his final ever game for the Blues, with Antonio Conte picking the defender to play Sunderland this afternoon.

Terry said he could retire at the end of the season but speculation over his future continues with a handful of Premier League club’s reportedly interested.

He starts today and will lift the trophy with Gary Cahill.

One player Terry will not be facing is Jermain Defoe. The England striker has not even been named on David Moyes’ Sunderland bench for their visit to Stamford Bridge but Joleon Lescott makes his first start for the Black Cats.

The other big team news is from Old Trafford.

With their Europa League final on Wednesday, as expected Jose Mourinho has made several changes to his side with Joel Pereira making his full Premier League debut in goal for Manchester United.

Midfielders Scott McTominay, Demetri Mitchell and Josh Harrop are given their full debuts too. Alongside them will be Wayne Rooney, who has been named to start in what could be his final game at Old Trafford.

Meanwhile, Everton midfielder Ross Barkley has been named on the bench for the Toffees’ match against Arsenal.
