Teammates downplay bullying Jonathan Martin

Dolphins tackle Jonathan Martin didn't play in Thursday's thrilling 22-20 win over the Bengals.

Angry over what was previously reported as his teammates bullying him, Martin left the organization with a return date unknown. His teammates spoke about Martin leaving and tried to downplay the issue that the left tackle was bullied.

Offensive guard Nate Garner told The Palm Beach Post that any pranks played on Martin were "normal stuff" that goes on in any NFL locker room.

Tackle Tyson Clabo told the Post he'd welcome Martin back to the team if and whenever he decides to return.

“I can’t say what he’s feeling," Clabo said. "I know if and when he wants to come back that I will be there to shake his hand. ... I’m just trying to let him figure out whatever he’s trying to figure out,” Clabo said. “It’s hard to say what’s going on in somebody’s mind.”

It could be tough for Martin to re-join the Dolphins. After volunteering to leave over being pranked may not be received well among his teammates, which were already allegedly ribbing him.
