Collins, the first openly gay player in Northern American major professional sports history, will make his home debut for the Nets on Monday night in Brooklyn against the Chicago Bulls.

Collins' contract expires Tuesday, and he'll sign a new 10-day deal Wednesday, sources said.

After two consecutive 10-day contracts, league rules mandate that the Nets must sign Collins for the rest of the season – or let him go.

Collins, 35, has three points and four rebounds in 34 minutes since signing with the Nets on Feb. 23.
