'SNF' continues to pull record ratings for NBC

NBC is averaging 21.1 million viewers and a 13.4 household rating through the first six weeks of "Sunday Night Football."

The household rating is the highest through six weeks in "SNF" history, while the 21.1 million viewers is only slightly down from 22.2 million in 2011, which was the highest mark NBC has seen since acquiring the rights in 2006.

The 13.4/21 rating is the best ratings start for an NFL primetime package in 13 years (13/5/21 household rating for ABC in 1996), according to NBC.

The Green Bay Packers' victory at the Houston Texans last Sunday drew 19.9 million viewers, up 13 percent from the Vikings-Bears game in Week 6 last season, and was the most-watched "SNF" Week 6 broadcast ever for NBC.
