It didn’t take long for ESPN to utilize “The Bachelorette” winner Jordan Rodgers in a college football role.

Rodgers, who was the winner on the show’s season finale Monday night, is the brother of Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers and a former Vanderbilt quarterback. Tuesday, SEC Network announced Rodgers would be an analyst for the upcoming season.

In a release from ESPN, the company said it considered Rodgers before the show began. We’re guessing his success didn’t exactly hurt his chances for the football role.

“We first interviewed Jordan in March and he auditioned in May, before The Bachelorette had begun airing,” ESPN vice president Stephanie Druley said in a statement. “We were struck by the clarity of his thought and strong, thoughtful opinion on the many layers of college football.”

Rodgers played at Vanderbilt in 2011 and 2012. He played in 25 games over two years and was 299-535 passing for 4,063 yards, 24 touchdowns and 15 interceptions. After he found the “love” of Bachelorette JoJo, the Music City Bowl struck with this great tweet Monday evening.

Aaron Rodgers has declined comment on the relationship between himself and his brother and family. Jordan remarked about his brother’s family relationship during an earlier episode of the show.

As you likely know, ESPN college football analyst Jesse Palmer was on “The Bachelor” after his brief NFL career with the New York Giants. Palmer played quarterback at Florida.
