Orioles put Reynolds on DL, call up Hall

The Baltimore Orioles placed infielder Mark Reynolds on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left oblique and brought up Bill Hall from Triple-A Norfolk (Va.).

To make room for Hall on the 40-man roster, the Orioles designated right-hander Brad Bergesen for assignment.

Hall, a 32-year-old veteran who hit 35 home runs for Milwaukee in 2006, signed a minor-league contract with Baltimore on April 25. He hit .222 with two home runs and seven RBI in 15 games with Norfolk.

Reynolds is hitting .191 with two home runs and nine RBI this season.
