Ladd, Richards, Couture named 'Three Stars' for week

The NHL announced Monday that Winnipeg Jets left wing Andrew Ladd, New York Rangers center Brad Richards and San Jose Sharks center Logan Couture were named the league's "Three Stars" for the week.

Ladd led the league with eight points, including six assists, in three games. He had two goals and an assist, plus the shootout winner, in a 4-3 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday. He also tied a career high with three assists in a 4-3 win over the Carolina Hurricanes on Thursday.

Richards led the NHL with four goals and tied for second with seven points in four games. He recorded his first career hat trick, including the game-winning goal, in an 8-4 victory over the Buffalo Sabres on Friday. He also had two assists in a 4-1 win over the New Jersey Devils on Sunday.

Couture had three goals and three assists in four games last week. That included two game-winning goals. He scored the winning goal in a 4-0 victory over the Phoenix Coyotes on April 15. He followed that with a career-best four points (two goals, two assists), including the game-winner, in a 6-1 victory over the Minnesota Wild on Thursday.
