Jared Allen 'proud' to still be with Vikings after trade deadline

Not traded after being the subject of trade talks leading up to the NFL deadline Tuesday, Minnesota Vikings star defensive end Jared Allen and his hefty salary remain with the NFC North club.

"Proud to still be a Viking," Allen told FOX Sports. "I watched all the trade stuff like everyone else. It is a part of this business. 100% committed to turning this season around."

The Vikings reportedly talked with the Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos about Allen, but woudln't budge of ftheir asking price for a second-round draft pick or a conditional third-rounder.

The four-time Pro Bowl selection will be a free agent and isn't getting a new deal from the Vikings in all likelihood.
