Indians, Aviles agree on two-year deal
The Cleveland Indians avoided arbitration with Mike Aviles Thursday, when they agreed to a two-year, $6 million deal with the infielder, the team announced.
The contract includes a club option for 2015.
Aviles asked for $3.4 million through arbitration, while the Indians countered with $2.4 million. The two-year pact buys out his two remaining arbitration seasons.
