PGA TOUR: The 10th Presidents Cup at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio, Thursday through Sunday.

TV: Thursday, noon-6 p.m. EDT on the Golf Channel; Friday, 1-6 p.m. EDT on the Golf Channel; Saturday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m. EDT on NBC; and Sunday, noon-6 p.m. EDT on NBC.

2011: Jim Furyk, who did not make the United States team this year, posted a 5-0 record and led the Americans to a 19-15 victory over the International team at Royal Melbourne Golf Club in Melbourne, Australia, extending the U.S. lead in the series to 7-1-1. The U.S. led all the way after taking a 4-2 lead in the foursome matches, but the Internationals still had a chance with a surprisingly strong showing early in Sunday singles, which ended 6-6. However, Furyk beat Ernie Els, David Toms routed Robert Allenby, Tiger Woods thumped Aaron Baddeley and Steve Stricker turned back Y.E. Yang in the last four matches. Hunter Mahan had a 4-1 record for the U.S., while Toms and Phil Mickelson finished at 3-1, even though Mickelson lost in singles to Adam Scott. Geoff Ogilvy and Charl Schwartzel led the way for the International team with records of 3-1-1. The Internationals have not won since 1998 at Royal Melbourne. The 2003 matches ended in a 17-17 tie on the Links at Fancourt in South Africa.

CHAMPIONS TOUR: SAS Championship at Prestonwood Country Club in Cary, N.C., Oct. 11-13.

LAST YEAR: Bernhard Langer of Germany made birdies on the last two holes to finish off a 9-under-par 63 in the final round to claim his 16th victory on the Champions Tour by two strokes over Jay Don Blake. Langer began the final round four strokes behind Blake. On the final hole, Blake needed a birdie to force a playoff, but hit a tree with this tee shot and made bogey to shoot 68. Langer, plagued by the putting yips at times during his career, had 11 one-putts in the final round, five on the last six holes. He challenged for the lead early on Sunday with birdies on five of his first nine holes and added another on the 13th hole to tie for the lead.
