Flames sign Jooris

The Calgary Flames signed forward Josh Jooris to a two-year entry-level deal worth $832,500. He will received a base salary of $70,000 per year along with a $92,500 bonus both years for a total annual pay of $925,000.

Jooris spent three seasons at Union College, recording 29 goals and 59 assists over 117 games, and is leaving the school with a year of eligibility remaining to join the Flames' prospect camp this summer.

"During our recent development camp he played an aggressive, up-tempo style and displayed good grit and a high compete level," Flames general manager Jay Feaster said. "Our staff felt strongly that we should attempt to get him signed, and we are pleased to welcome him to the organization."
