Eagles down to 53 players

Besides cutting former first-round offensive lineman Danny Watkins, the Philadelphia Eagles got down to 53 players by cutting wide receiver Greg Salas and linebacker Chris McCoy.

The Eagles also released safety David Sims and former LSU wide receiver Russell Sheppard.

They cut offensive tackle Michael Bamiro, who had some guaranteed money in his deal and offset language as well, running back Matthew Tucker and linebacker Travis Long.
