Diamondbacks 4, Dodgers 1

LOS ANGELES -- Paul Goldschmidt had four hits and two RBIs, and the Arizona Diamondbacks stopped a two-game losing streak with a 4-1 win Wednesday night at Dodger Stadium.

Willie Bloomquist had three hits for Arizona, and A.J. Pollock, Aaron Hill and Tuffy Gosewisch each added two.

After missing his previous turn in the rotation due to back stiffness, Dodgers left Hyun-Jin Ryu (13-6) allowed 10 hits and three runs in six innings while striking out just one. Los Angeles relievers didn't fare much better, as the Diamondbacks pounded out five more hits in the last three frames.

That was more than enough support for Patrick Corbin, who continued his utter domination of the Dodgers in his career.

Corbin (14-6) entered the game with a 2.49 ERA against Los Angeles in five games, and he improved his mark, allowing just one run on eight hits in 6 1/3 innings.

Chaz Roe got two outs, David Hernandez pitched a scoreless eighth, and Brad Ziegler picked up his 10th save with a 1-2-3 ninth.

Goldschmidt collected his 108th RBI of the year, a single in the top of the first inning that scored Pollock with the game's first run. Martin Prado followed soon after with an RBI on a double play, and the Diamondbacks added a third run on a Gosewisch RBI double that scored Gerardo Parra.

In the seventh, Goldschmidt's RBI single increased the lead to 4-0.

Yasiel Puig ended Corbin's shutout bid with a solo homer in the seventh, his 16th of the season. Puig and Hanley Ramirez each had two of the Dodgers' eight hits.

NOTES: The Dodgers selected the contract of LHP Onelki Garcia from Triple-A Albuquerque to take the place of RHP Shawn Tolleson, who was transferred to the 60-day disabled list after suffering a hip injury that occurred during rehab for a back injury. Garcia combined to go 2-4 with a 2.90 ERA in 35 games (six starts) with Double-A Chattanooga and Triple-A Albuquerque. ... Dodgers OF Matt Kemp (left ankle sprain) could be closer to making a return, as he reportedly is utilizing a running machine and could resume running soon. He has been relegated to just batting in simulated games after aggravating a hamstring injury during his recovery from the ankle sprain.
