Bubba Watson pulls out of Wells Fargo

Masters champion Bubba Watson won't play in the Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow, according to an ESPN.com report.

Watson wants to spend time with his wife and newly adopted son after defending his title next week in New Orleans, the report said.

The Wells Fargo Championship is scheduled for May 3-6. The Players Championship is the following week.

Even without Watson, Rory McIlroy, Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Lee Westwood and Hunter Mahan expected to play.
