Bears worried Melton may have torn ACL

Chicago Bears Pro Bowl defensive tackle Henry Melton may have torn his anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during a win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Melton was carted off the field and will have a magnetic resonance imaging exam today.

Melton will likely be replaced inside by Stephen Paea with Nate Collins playing more.

“I don’t know what to say,” Paea said. “Injuries will come and we just have to deal with it. It is huge for us that we lose him. I feel like we have to think positive. The next guy has to step up. The season will keep going. This is going to be interesting because me and Nate both play the nose but we can play three.”
