NBA Twitter reacts to the Nets’ Game 1 loss to the 76ers

The Brooklyn Nets visited Wells Fargo Center on Saturday to face the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 1 of their first-round series and lost 121-101. Philadelphia leads the first-round series 1-0.

For the Nets, Mikal Bridges had 30 points and five rebounds while Cam Johnson had 18 points and four rebounds. Spencer Dinwiddie had 14 points and Seth Curry had 10 points off the bench.

For the 76ers, Joel Embiid had 26 points and five rebounds while James Harden had 23 points and 13 assists. Tobias Harris had 21 points and Tyrese Maxey had 13 points.

In the first half, Philadelphia started the game like a team on a mission as they tried to give Embiid and Harden chances to make their mark on the game. After some time, the 76ers found a way to beat the double-teams that came Embiid’s way. Brooklyn stayed in the game thanks to Mikal Bridges scoring 23 points, but they allowed James Harden to find his rhythm and score 17 points.

In the second half, Philadelphia continued to pound Brooklyn on the glass and turning them over as well. The difference was that the Nets’ scoring started to slow down because of how many second-chance points the 76ers were getting. Philadelphia ran away with the game thanks to Harden, Embiid, and offensive rebounding.
