NBA Twitter reacts to Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving going off on Sixers

The Philadelphia 76ers were looking to build off a win over the Miami Heat to begin their road trip when they paid a visit to the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday. It was the second night of a back-to-back so that’s always a challenge, but they didn’t do themselves any favors on the defensive end.

The Sixers as a team shot 57.7% from the floor and 12-for-27 from deep. Those are numbers that should usually propel a team to a win, but that wasn’t the case on Thursday as Dallas knocked shot 25-for-48 from deep.

The Mavericks also received monster games from Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving. Doncic had 42 points and 12 assists and he drilled seven triples while Irving had 40 points on 15-for-22 shooting and he had six assists. They became the first pair of teammates to score 40+ points in the same game in Mavericks history in a 133-126 win over the Sixers.
