NBA Twitter reacts to Klay Thompson’s 38 point performance in Warriors’ blowout win vs. Bucks

With a new three-guard look in the backcourt for the Golden State Warriors, Klay Thompson and Jordan Poole took over on Saturday night against the Milwaukee Bucks.

While the Warriors gripped to a double-figure lead for nearly the entire contest, Thompson caught fire against the defending champs. The five-time All-Star tallied a season-high 38 points on 15-of-24 shooting from the floor with six rebounds, five assists, a steal and a block in 34 minutes.

Along with Thompson’s vintage performance, Poole added 30 points on 9-of-15 shooting from the field with six boards, five assists and a steal in 35 minutes. Poole has now registered 20 or more points in six consecutive contests for the Warriors.

While Poole and Thompson combined for 68 points, Steph Curry recorded a season-low eight points on 3-of-7 shooting from the field with eight assists, five boards, a block and a steal in 33 minutes. Despite Curry’s low-scoring night, the Warriors surged to a blowout win over the Bucks, 122-109.

Following the Warriors’ third consecutive win in impressive fashion on Saturday night in primetime, the NBA community on Twitter exploded with different reactions. Here’s a look at what fans and analysts were saying on Saturday night.
