NBA Twitter reacts to Joel Embiid, Sixers knocking off shorthanded Lakers
While most on the East Coast were sleeping, the Philadelphia 76ers picked up a weird win over the short-handed Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday night. It was a solid start to a three-game West Coast trip despite bad defensive stretches and lulls on the offensive end.
The Sixers received big nights out of Joel Embiid, James Harden, Tyrese Maxey and Tobias Harris to get the job done. Embiid had 30 points, Harden added 24, Maxey had 21 and Harris had 20 against a Lakers team missing LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
It was an impressive night for Philadelphia’s top four players and NBA Twitter had many reactions to the big night for Embiid and the Sixers.
Philadelphia will stay in Los Angeles to take on the Clippers on Friday night for the second game of the trip.

.@sixers @JoelEmbiid is the third player this season to post at least 25 points, 10 rebounds, three steals and three blocks in a game. He joins Nikola Jokic (1x) and @AntDavis23 (3x) as the only players to do so.

Tyrese Maxey taking over to close another game, which has happened quite a few times this year. Very impressive for a 21-year-old playing on a team with an MVP candidate
