NBA Twitter reacts to James Harden, Sixers beating Celtics in Game 4

The Philadelphia 76ers were in a bit of trouble on Sunday when they played host to the Boston Celtics in Game 4. It was a pivotal contest as the Sixers were either going to be in a 2-2 tie heading back to the TD Garden or they’d be staring down elimination. It was essentially a do-or-die moment for them.

They almost saw it slip away. Philadelphia led by 16 in the second half and they made a ton of mistakes that allowed the Celtics to rally and take a 105-100 lead with 2:03 left. It looked like it would be another missed opportunity for the Sixers.

Then, their future Hall of Famer came to the rescue. James Harden had 42 points on 16-for-23 shooting and he forced overtime with a tough floater and then he ended up winning the game with a triple in overtime. The Sixers earned a 116-115 overtime win and Joel Embiid had 34 points and 13 rebounds in support.
