NBA Twitter reacts to Ja Morant’s 47 point performance in Game 2 to even Grizzlies vs. Warriors series

Similar to Game 1, the Golden State Warriors and Memphis Grizzlies traded haymakers in a thriller in Game 2 of their second-round playoff series. However, instead of Klay Thompson coming through with a clutch jumper late, it was Ja Morant with the final say in Game 2.

The Grizzlies budding superstar dropped a red-hot 47 points on 15-of-31 shooting from the floor with eight boards, eight assists and three steals in 41 minutes. Morant also drilled five triples on 12 attempts from deep against the Warriors in Game 2.

Behind Morant’s performance, the Grizzlies notched the series at 1-1 with a 106-101 win in Game 2.

The Warriors struggled to shoot the ball in Game 2, shooting just 7-of-38 (18.4%) from beyond the arc on Tuesday in Memphis. Even the sharpshooting trio of Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Jordan Poole struggled to shoot from deep, shooting just 6-of-29 from long distance in Game 2.

Along with cold shooting, 18 turnovers hampered the Warriors’ chances of keeping up with Morant in Game 2.

Steph Curry led the Warriors with 27 points on 11-of-25 shooting from the field with nine rebounds, eight assists, a steal and five turnovers in 39 minutes.

After the Grizzlies tied the series against the Warriors before heading to the Bay Area, the NBA Twitter community chimed in with different reactions. Here’s a look at what fans and analysts were saying on Twitter on Tuesday night.
