NBA Finals: Grant Williams’ results for game No. 3

Former Tennessee basketball player Grant Williams came off the bench for Boston in its 116-100 victory over Golden State in game No. 3 of the NBA Finals Wednesday.

Williams, a two-time Southeastern Conference Player of the Year for the Volunteers and first-round draft pick by the Celtics in 2019, played 20 minutes.

He had 10 points, five rebounds and one steal against the Warriors, helping Boston take a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven series at TD Garden.

Williams was 4-for-7 from the floor, 1-for-4 from beyond the 3-point arc and 1-for-2 from the free throw line for Boston held Golden State to 11 points in the fourth quarter.

The series resumes with game No. 4 Friday in Boston. Tipoff is slated for 9 p.m. EDT and the game will be televised by ABC.
