Juuse Saros benched, Nashville Predators winning streak ends with loss to Minnesota Wild in John Hynes' return

The Nashville Predators' six-game winning streak came to a crashing halt on Thursday.

Connor Dewar scored his first career hat trick, leading the Minnesota Wild to a 6-1 win over the Preds at Bridgestone Arena in John Hynes' return to Nashville.

Minnesota jumped on Nashville quickly, with a Dewar goal less than five minutes into the game. After a Jake Middleton goal and an unsuccessful challenge, Kirill Kaprizov scored on the power play to give the Wild a 3-0 lead.

Juuse Saros was pulled early in the second period after Pat Maroon's goal to make it 4-0. Saros saved 11 of 15 shots in 21:43 of game action.

Dewar again scored in the second period to give the Wild a 5-0 lead. Juuso Parssinen scored early in the third period to get Nashville on the board, and Dewar completed his hat trick with a goal 9:47 into the third period.

Hynes is now 2-0 with the Wild after becoming the team's coach on Monday. The Predators honored Hynes' tenure with a tribute video during a timeout.
