Mother Nature rains on NASCAR
The idea was great. A street race in Chicago for NASCAR’s Cup drivers. The only problem was Mother Nature unleashed torrential rain on the Windy City. Imagine trying to dry on a rain-soaked track? Denny Hamlin, who was on the pole, wasn’t up for the idea: “We cannot control god. What we can control is our decisions and reactions to unforeseen circumstances. Please @NASCAR . Do not do this. We have too much positive momentum around this weekend to change the narrative now” the driver of the 11 tweeted. NASCAR didn’t listen.
