The first three races are in the books for the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series with an exciting start to the season. A massive wreck preceded William Byron's first win of the year at the Daytona 500. The closest three-car finish in Cup Series history saw Daniel Suarez take the checkered flag in Atlanta. Last week, Kyle Larson held off a charging Tyler Reddick to win in Las Vegas.

Larson's win puts him at the top of the Cup Series standings this week as the grid turns to the first flat-track oval of the season in Phoenix. The last race at this track - the 2023 season finale last November - saw Ross Chastain take the win ahead of championship winner Ryan Blaney in second.

This week could see another close race. Here are the latest championship odds and odds for Sunday's winner from BetMGM:

'Our team is in a good place': Chase Elliott, NASCAR's most popular driver, enters 2024 optimistic about bounce-back year

NASCAR Cup Series Shriners Children's 500 predictions

Odds Shopper: Christopher Bell (+1000) wins

Isaiah Sirois says: "Bell’s lack of results at Phoenix is noise, not a signal. In the Xfinity Series, he dominated at this track, recording one win and three top-5s in five starts, leading the most laps of any Xfinity Series regular in his final three starts at the track in the series... Bell also dominates at other short, flat ovals."

Sports Gambling Podcast: Kyle Larson (+600) or Tyler Reddick (+1400) to win

Cody Zeeb writes: "The only reason to hesitate on Larson is that with his win last week, he’s virtually locked into the playoffs. That could lead to the team punting on this race and testing things for the championship race in the fall... This number is simply just far too long for Tyler Reddick. The 23XI driver has two straight third-place finishes in this spring Phoenix race. Coming off that strong showing at Las Vegas, Reddick is going to be hungry for a win."

FanDuel: Martin Truex Jr. (+1200) to win

Jim Sannes says: "Although Truex had an odd ending to last year, he was still strong on the short, flat tracks. He podiumed in Martinsville, won New Hampshire, and rounded out the year by starting on the front row in the final two races of the year. He had a fifth-place average running position in the season finale despite not being a part of the Championship Four."
