Kansas State decimates Mizzou 40-12. Final score and recap from the loss

Missouri loses a bad, bad game to Kansas State.

Kansas State calls game

With the Missouri offense flailing, the Wildcats put the nail in the coffin on a 24-yard Deuce Vaughn touchdown run. That seals the game.

It puts Kansas State up 33-6 with less than 10 minute left in the game.

Wildcats go up by 20

After the Abraham interception, the Wildcats pushed a field goal through. The defense is doing everything it can to keep the game within reach.

The offense, however, just cannot respond. It's 26-6, KSU.

Kansas State keeps forcing turnovers

Brady Cook left the game for a play after getting injured but came back in on the next play. His next pass was an interception that gave Kansas State the ball in MU territory.

That put the Tigers' defense on an island. The Wildcats responded with a missed field goal. Missouri can still find its way back into the game.

Jack Abraham is in the game. He threw an interception off a tipped pass.

Kansas State responds with a field goal

After what could have been a back-breaking interception by Brady Cook, the Tigers' defense holds. The Wildcats got to the MU 17-yardline but stalled. KSU added a 35-yard field goal.

The six-play drive puts Kansas State up 23-6.

Mizzou adds a second field goal

After forcing a Kansas State punt, MU grabbed the ball and inched toward midfield. The Tigers got to the Kansas State 26 on a 39-yard reception by Dominic Lovett.

That led to a second Mevis field goal, this time from 44 yards out. Missouri trails 20-6.

HALFTIME: Kansas State 20, Mizzou 3

The Tigers could only muster a drive to midfield that went into KSU territory. The half ended, and Missouri went into the locker room to lick its wounds.

Delay over, Mizzou flails

Coming out of the 55-minute delay, Missouri runs a draw on third and 13. Missouri punts. That punt is returned 76 yards for a touchdown.

The officials have noted there is lightning in the area. The game is in a weather delay with 8:48 left in the second quarter,

Kansas State is in full control

Backing MU up in its own territory to start the second quarter, Kansas State punched the ball right down the Tigers' throat.

Adrian Martinez ran for a 16-yard score, capping off a 10-play drive that ran the ball seven times and passed just three times.

Missouri needs an answer.

End of the first: KSU leads, and is driving

After a dreadful Missouri three-and-out possession, the Wildcats took over and imposed themselves on the Tigers.

Vaughn has seven carries for 32 yards early on and is in control on the line of scrimmage. MU's offense went backward.

Wildcats respond

Deuce Vaughn is the focal point of the Tigers' defense on Saturday, and he made them pay early. Vaughn's one-yard touchdown put Kansas State up 7-3 on Missouri.

KSU matched MU's 11-play drive with an 11-play drive of its own. Quarterback Adrian Martinez kept the drive alive, converting two third downs.

Mizzou's first drive ends with Mevis

After getting the ball to start the game, Missouri drove into Kansas State territory and stalled. MU has Harrison Mevis.

A 49-yard field goal puts the Tigers up 3-0 early.

Game time

Kansas State has won the toss and elects to defer until the second half.

The Tigers get the ball first. Brady Cook will have his chance to get the game started for Missouri.
