When will Mississippi State face Ole Miss baseball in 2024? Full SEC schedule is here
The SEC announced its 2024 baseball schedule on Wednesday. As expected, it'll be a tough path for Mississippi State and Ole Miss to bounce back after missing out on postseason play last season.
The rivals will face off in Oxford from April 12-14. Ole Miss has not won a series against MSU since 2015. The Governor's Cup in Pearl will be on April 30.
Mississippi State's crossover slate features trips to Florida (March 29-31) and Vanderbilt (April 26-28) and home series against Georgia (April 5-7) and Missouri (May 16-18). MSU plays on the road against Texas A&M and Arkansas while hosting reigning champion LSU, Auburn and Alabama.
Ole Miss, which released its full schedule Wednesday, opens its season on Feb. 16 with four games at Hawaii. The Rebels will open their home slate on Feb. 21 against Arkansas State. That matchup will start a 13-game homestand.
Ole Miss' SEC slate starts with a home series against South Carolina (March 15-17). Other crossover foes include road series at Tennessee (March 22-24) and Georgia (April 19-21) and a home set against Kentucky (March 29-31).
The SEC tournament in Hoover, Alabama, begins on May 21.
MSU is entering its sixth season with Chris Lemonis at the helm. He led the Bulldogs to a national title in 2021, but Mississippi State hasn't reached the postseason since. Mike Bianco is entering his 24th season at Ole Miss' coach. He helped the program win its first national title in 2022.
