Michigan State’s Gabe Brown to sign Exhibit 10 contract with Nuggets

Former Michigan State forward Gabe Brown will reportedly sign an Exhibit 10 contract with the Denver Nuggets, according to Adam Zagoria of ZagsBlog.com.

Brown, who went undrafted last month, was named to the All-Big Ten third team after averaging a career-high 11.6 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.1 assists on 38.2% shooting from 3-point range as a senior. He led the Spartans in scoring, 3-pointers (73) and free-throw percentage (89.4).

The 22-year-old played with the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Las Vegas Summer League, averaging 11 points and 3.5 rebounds in four games. He finished off his stay by scoring 23 points on 5-of-12 shooting from 3-point range on July 17.

Brown will likely participate with the Nuggets in training camp and spend next season in the NBA G League with the Grand Rapids Gold as part of his Exhibit 10 contract. He can receive a bonus of up to $50,000 if he is waived and stays with the Gold for at least 60 days.
