Michigan State football gets commit from 2024 3-star QB Henry Hasselbeck

Michigan State football has its quarterback for the class of 2024. And it's a name familiar to the football world.

Henry Hasselbeck, the 6-foot-2½, 165-pound QB from Westwood, Massachusetts, made his verbal commitment to MSU late Friday night.

Hasselbeck is the son of former NFL Pro Bowler Matt Hasselbeck, who led the Seattle Seahawks to an appearance in Super Bowl 40 in Detroit.

Henry is rated a three-star prospect by the 247Sports Composite ranking as well as the No. 5 player in Massachusetts and the No. 67 quarterback in the nation for 2024. He previously committed to play lacrosse at Maryland.

The primary recruiter for Hasselbeck was MSU offensive coordinator Jay Johnson, according to 247Sports.

MSU now has nine commits for 2024 and is ranked 56th in the nation (and 14th in the Big Ten, which 247Sports includes both UCLA and USC in its rankings).
