The second episode of Jim Harbaugh's podcast, "Attack Each Day," came out on Tuesday, and featured ESPN analyst Adam Schefter as its featured guest.

Schefter, along with Jim and Jack Harbaugh and co-host J.T. Rogan (played at San Diego under Harbaugh), discuss several topics in this week's episode — here are the highlights:

Adam Schefter, referring to sophomore walk on receiver Nate Schoenle

“I love walk ons — my life is like a walk on. I feel like I’m not good enough to do anything, but fight and claw and scratch to do everything.”

Jim Harbaugh

“You’re a ‘go blue’ guy all the way, Adam. Every time I watch you do one of your reports, you always have the Michigan helmet prominently placed behind the left side of your head. We love your spirit.”

Jim Harbaugh, talking about his first experiences at Michigan Stadium

“John [Harbaugh] and I wanted to be ball boys, but Coach Schembechler didn’t want coach’s sons being ball boys. That was me and John’s goal, but since we couldn’t go that path, we took the path of plugging in the chords to the brick wall, which would radio up to the public address announcer. We were involved and got to watch the games from the sidelines — it was the greatest thing. I think things have gone more digital since then.”

Adam Schefter

“In 1985, I was in the freshmen student section when Michigan was playing Ohio State, and Coach Harbaugh was the quarterback. Michigan was up three late in the game, and Ohio State sent a safety on a blitz, and he hit Jim pretty hard. Jim threw a pass to John Kolesar, and he ran straight at the freshmen student section, and me and all my friends were waving him in. He scores, and 32 years later I still remember that moment. When that play was made, he provided a lifetime memory for everyone in those stands.”

Jack Harbaugh

" 'The team, the team, the team' is Bo Schembechler. I never understood the genesis of it until I had a chance to visit West Point. I saw a statue of Douglas MacArthur there and under it was the inscription 'the core, the core, the core' — that was his mantra. I'm just speculating, but I think at some point Bo saw that and translated it. Every day that I was here for seven years, that message was said about the importance of the team, and it was said best every Saturday afternoon at the stadium.

"It’s such a joy for Jackie and myself to see Jim here as the head coach. You go to visit John in Baltimore, and across the top of the room it reads 'the team, the team, the team.' Tom Crean's practice facility at Indiana read that too. I know how proud Bo would be that his message is still being spoken in the Harbaugh circle today."

Jim Harbaugh, referring to his father

“He is one of the greatest all-time dads. I know how busy it is to be a football coach, but he’d come home and play catch with us. Nobody else in this world believed in myself, John and Joani like he and Mom did. He is a combination of the greatest football coach, and the greatest dad of all time."

Adam Schefter, on almost missing the coin toss on Saturday

“I get a call from somebody that the Steelers are signing Stephon Tuitt to a five-year contract extension, and I’m starting to tweet the news — breaking news from the sideline — and I all of a sudden, it’s like, ‘Hey, the captains are going out.’ I almost missed my moment.”

Adam Schefter

“I have never ever, ever been in a football locker room, as the team was kneeling down for prayer — as you, the coach, was going through and offering last minute wishes, as you were doing on Saturday, where you were telling everybody, ‘Energy up. Energy up,’ going around, guy to guy, which blew me away to watch that. And then, to see, as each of the guys was walking out of the locker room and John Falk is standing under the Go Blue sign, and he’s telling every one of them, ‘Do it for Michigan…’”
