Miami Hurricanes commit considering a spring visit to Gainesville

After welcoming 2025 recruits to campus for two weekends in a row, the Florida Gators are in talks to host a recruit who’s listed as a hard commit to the Miami Hurricanes.

Four-star wide receiver Waden Charles wants to take a few more visits this spring to test the waters and see if he can pique further interest from other top programs around the country.

Among the programs he plans to visit is the rebuilding Gatorsalong with Tennessee, Louisville, Florida State and Ole Miss. The wideout spoke with 247Sports and says that all the programs have been in contact with him, including Florida head coach Billy Napier.

“They are definitely showing love,” he said. “Coach Billy Napier, he came to my school. He was on the board going over plays with me, so that shows he has high interest in me and he feels like I can do a lot of things on offense.”

Hailing from West Palm Beach, Florida, wideout Waden Charles would be a great flip for the Gators. Charles is ranked No. 29 overall according to the 247Sports composite scale and is the No. 11 athlete in the nation.
