Miami Dolphins predictions: Do NFL experts think they'll rebound vs. NY Giants?

The Miami Dolphins are in need of a bounce-back. As if on cue, the New York Giants are coming to town on Sunday.

Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills blasted the Dolphins 48-20, Miami's first loss of the season (3-1). De'Von Achane kept his hot streak alive with two touchdowns, but Tua Tagovailoa was sacked four times and threw just one TD. Mike McDaniel's high-powered offense was limited, but Vic Fangio's defense was battered the most by Stefon Diggs and the Bills. Will that prove to be the final push to put rookie cornerback Cam Smith into the starting lineup?

Meanwhile, things are looking dour for the Giants (1-3). Half their points this season came in the final two quarters of their 31-28 comeback win over the Arizona Cardinals. Daniel Jones, signed to a four-year contract before the season, has scored three total touchdowns this year against six interceptions and four fumbles. The Giants have been without star running back Saquon Barkley the past two games, though he could return against the Dolphins.

Will the Miami Dolphins rebound, or will the Giants stun the football world? Here's a look at what NFL experts and analysts predict:

Lorenzo Reyes, USA TODAY: Dolphins 39-14

"Miami’s speed is simply too much for New York and the Dolphins should put up points at will, especially coming off of a humbling loss against the Bills. The Giants, meanwhile, are lost. They have an offensive line that cannot protect. They lack athleticism at skill positions. Take Miami and the points with ease."

Vinnie Iyer, Sporting News: Dolphins 38-17 (Lock of the Week)

"The Giants are coming off a short week and falling to 1-3. The Dolphins are recovering from losing for the first time this season. Miami was overwhelmed at Buffalo but comes back home to face a blitzing defense, which plays right into the quick-passing hands of Tua Tagovailoa and his weapons. Daniel Jones will have his moments against Vic Fangio's reeling defense, but he doesn't have the same speed, quickness and explosiveness with his weapons."

Wes O'Donnell, Bleacher Report: Dolphins 38-17

"The Dolphins scored more points in one game this season … well, actually, we can even shorten that to just three quarters (49 points) than the Giants have scored in four games combined this season (46 points). Anyone who has watched the bruised and battered Big Blue team can see things aren't getting better any time soon even if Saquon Barkley is on the field. It's hard to envision things getting worse, but it's actually possible given the lack of direction and execution on display from the offense."

Dan Parr, NFL.com: Dolphins 30-20

"There are not many opponents that offer the Dolphins a better bounce-back opportunity than the Giants. No team has scored fewer points this season, as New York mustered 0, 3 and 12 points in its three losses. The G-Men can do a little better than that against a Miami defense that has shown it has some soft spots, especially if Saquon Barkley returns. But the Giants' offensive line is still a mess. Brian Daboll's team is not built to keep up with the league's highest-scoring offense."

Defensive adjustments: Miami Dolphins punched in mouth by Bills, concede they're humbled | Schad

Bill Bender, Sporting News: Dolphins 35-27

"The Dolphins were humbled by Buffalo in Week 4, but the bounce-back appeal against a Giants' team coming off a short week is there. Saquon Barkley is still battling an ankle injury, and De'Von Achane is the hottest running back in football right now. Look for Miami's high-powered offense to reheat at home."

Pete Prisco, CBS Sports: Dolphins 35-20

"The Giants are a mess. The offensive line is a major issue. The Dolphins have some line issues as well, but after a so-so game last week Tua Tagovailoa will get it back going right again. Dolphins big. The offense explodes again."
