  • Gooden's No. 16 becomes the ninth number, including Jackie Robinson's No. 42, to be retired by the Mets. The most recent number to be retired was Willie Mays' No. 24 in 2022

  • Prior to the game, RHPs Jose Butto and Grant Hartwig were recalled from Triple-A Syracuse, while RHP Cole Sulser and LHP Tyler Jay were optioned down
