Pete Alonso gave the Mets an early lead with a first-inning home run, but the Phillies tied the game in the sixth and took the lead in the seventh. Harrison Bader tied the game in the eighth and a past ball in the following at-bat gave the Mets the lead. Edwin Diaz blew another save in the ninth, but a J.D. Martinez RBI single in the top of the 11th gave the Mets a lead as the beat the Phillies 6-5.
