Mark Vientos, Jeff McNeil and Starling Marte each clubbed home runs for the Mets but it wasn't enough as Cleveland won the slugfest 7-6. Adrian Houser started for New York and was hit hard, allowing six hits and six earned runs over five innings. Reliever Jake Diekman served up a pinch-hit two-run homer to the Guardians' David Fry that proved to be the margin of victory.
