Mets closer Edwin Diaz on checked-swing controversy that contributed to blown save in loss

Edwin Diaz was a strike away from closing out a Mets win but on an 0-2 pitch, hit Alec Bohm with bases loaded to force in the tying run. It was a pitch to the previous batter Whit Merrifield though that upset Diaz. Merrifield appeared to swing at 3-1 pitch that was called a ball and loaded the bases. Diaz explains why he felt it changed the entire complexion of the inning and ultimately led to a 5-4 loss.
