Mercury 90, Sparks 84

Fresh off of being named a starter in the WNBA All-Star Game, Diana Taurasi led the Phoenix Mercury to a 90-84 win over the Los Angeles Sparks on Thursday, snapping a three-game losing streak.

Taurasi scored a game-high 32 points while adding six assists and seven rebounds in the winning effort while playing without all-star teammate Brittney Griner, who missed he third straight game due to injury.

DeWanna Bonner added 17 points and 11 rebounds and Penny Taylor finished with 16 points for the Mercury (9-7), who snapped Los Angeles' 19-game home winning streak dating back to last season.

The Sparks' (11-5) Candace Parker, who was also named to the all-star team, led the way in the losing effort with 25 points and 16 rebounds.
