Masai Ujiri greets fans camping out in Jurassic Park ahead of Game 5

Toronto Raptors president Masai Ujiri is more than just an executive to his team’s die-hard fans, he’s been one of the emotional epicenters of the club’s rise to prominence and is always happy to passionately indulge the supporters.

With the Raptors on the brink of winning their first title in franchise history, and fans flocking to Jurassic Park way ahead of Monday’s Game 5 against the Golden State Warriors, Ujiri made sure they felt appreciated for their long wait.

“You guys are cool, best fans in the world,” Ujiri told a group of dedicated supporters. They immediately broke into a “Raps in 5” chant, much to Ujiri’s delight.

Whether it’s earning a $25,000 fine for yelling “f— Brooklyn” or imploring fans to believe in themselves and their city after acquiring Kawhi Leonard prior to the 2018-19 season, Ujiri is more than just one of the best executives in the NBA. He understands all the machinations of being a Raptors fan, and if the team lifts the Larry O’Brien Trophy on Monday, Ujiri will further endear himself into demigod status.
