Marquez Valdes-Scantling released; fans speculate about reunion with Aaron Rodgers
Considering he had only one regular-season touchdown reception this season, it's probably not exactly a surprise that former Green Bay Packers receiver Marquez-Valdes Scantling was released by the Kansas City Chiefs for salary cap reasons Wednesday.
It's also possible he may have dropped a few too many passes.

Some social media posters are already speculating that he won't be looking for a new job for long.
If the New York Jets already signed Randall Cobb and Allen Lazard, an Aaron Rodgers/Valdes-Scantling reunion was an obvious topic of choice on the site formerly known as Twitter, especially among Jets fans:

Of course, opinions in New York varied on if this is a good idea.
I think Allen Lazard is a better WR than Marquez Valdes-Scantling, which says a lot given how bad the former was last year.
Lazard at his best is still better than MVS at his best IMO.
I have no interest here, even as like a WR3 or WR4. #Jets have so many better options.— The Jet Press (@TheJetPress) February 28, 2024
