Mariners fan in Ken Griffey Jr. jersey looks nothing like the original in botched foul ball attempt

The Giants dominated Seattle on Wednesday afternoon, beating the Mariners 10-1 in San Francisco.

Though it wasn’t anyone in the game who stole the show at AT&T Park. It was Ken Griffey Jr.

Ok no, not that Ken Griffey.

A fan donning a Griffey jersey in the front row reached out for a foul ball down the right field line late in the eighth inning on Wednesday. He just missed the ball, but lost his balance and, well, tumbled over the wall and onto the field.

The fan jumped back up and over the wall to his seat almost instantly. His efforts to nab the errant ball didn’t go unnoticed by the rest of the park, either, who quickly gave him the ovation he deserved.

Hey, way to own the tumble, Mr. Griffey. Way to own the tumble.
