Marcus Mariota’s vintage performance vs. 49ers had Oregon Duck fans celebrating on Twitter
It appears that the marriage between Marcus Mariota and Atlanta Falcons head coach Arthur Smith is going pretty well.
The Falcons are only off to a 2-3 start on the season, but their 3 losses came by a total of 11 points to the New Orleans Saints, Los Angeles Rams, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It’s clear that grabbing Mariota as their starting quarterback is working out for Atlanta, and it’s giving new life to the Oregon legend’s career.
We saw some of what made Mariota an Oregon legend on Sunday in the Falcons’ 28-14 win over the San Francisco 49ers. Marcus finished with an impressive 13-for-14 passing for 129 yards and 2 TD< while adding 50 yards on the ground with 1 TD as well.
It led to some fun on Twitter for Oregon fans who were once again able to prop up their favorite Hawaiian son.
