Managers should pick up Munoz while he's available

- Finding relief help is as hard as it's been, and it's not going to get any easier. There were only 20 pitchers who had more than three saves in the month of April. Andres Munoz was not one of those pitchers, but it stands to reason that the right hander should get more chances as the season progresses.
Seattle acquired Munoz in a seven-player deal that saw them also pick up Ty France from the Padres. And after missing all but one game in 2021 while recovering from Tommy John surgery, the 23-year-old has shown off the arsenal that made him the top relief prospect in pitching in baseball not too long ago.
No one throws harder in the sport right now than Munoz, as he averages 100 miles per hour on his heater and he's been as high as 103 with the pitch. He also has a quality slider, and his strikeout rate and chase rate are both in the 99th percentile of baseball, with his win percentage a measly 97%.
The Seattle bullpen situation doesn't guarantee that Munoz will get save chances, but he's been pitching in the ninth inning as of late. And this is a pitcher available in the overwhelming majority of Yahoo leagues. Fantasy managers should change that before it's too late.
