Manchester City are looking to get back on track in the Premier League against Brentford tonight.

Pep Guardiola’s side had their momentum halted somewhat by a frustrating draw with Chelsea on Saturday, with the champions needing a late Rodri strike just to earn a point.

They now turn their focus to a second match against Brentford in the space of a fortnight, with this fixture rescheduled from December as a result of City’s involvement in the Club World Cup.

A win would take City above Arsenal and into second in the table, just a point behind leaders Liverpool.

The Bees were well-beaten by Liverpool last time out, but will take confidence from their performance against City earlier this month, when they took the lead, as well as the fact they won both matches between the sides last season.

Date, kick-off time and venue

Man City vs Brentford is scheduled for a 7:30pm GMT kick-off time on Tuesday, February 20, 2024.

Man City vs Brentford prediction

City have rarely found it easy against Brentford, losing home and away last season, and so there will be no complacency at the Etihad.

But the draw with Chelsea will surely have sharpened their focus and, while they look far from convincing at the back, it would be a real surprise if they Guardiola’s side were to drop more points.

Man City to win, 3-1.
